Every Indian family deserves to know what goes into the food they buy. Most packaged food labels are cluttered, confusing, and sometimes deliberately misleading. ScanKaro exists to change that. We use AI to read, analyze, and simplify food labels so you can make informed decisions in seconds, not minutes.
Every product gets a health score from 1 to 10 based on three pillars
Each ingredient is classified as GREEN (safe), YELLOW (moderate concern), or RED (avoid if possible). The ratio of harmful to safe ingredients directly affects the score.
We evaluate sugar, sodium, saturated fat, trans fat, and fibre levels against recommended daily values. High sugar or sodium pulls the score down; good fibre and protein push it up.
Ultra-processed foods carry hidden health risks. We assess the degree of processing based on the type and count of additives, preservatives, emulsifiers, and artificial flavours present.
Poor. High risk ingredients or extreme nutrition values.
Moderate. Some concerns, consume in moderation.
Good. Minimal harmful ingredients, balanced nutrition.
Trust is the foundation of everything we do
ScanKaro does not accept money from food brands, manufacturers, or distributors. Our revenue comes solely from user subscriptions. This ensures our scores are never influenced by commercial interests.
Every product is scored by the same algorithm, using the same criteria. No brand can pay to improve their score. What you see is an objective analysis of what is on the label.
We do not show ads of any kind. There are no sponsored recommendations, no promoted products, and no affiliate links. The app exists to serve you, not advertisers.
Our scoring methodology is documented and consistent. We explain why each ingredient is flagged and what each nutrition value means for your health. No black boxes.
